The Ledges Inn is owned and operated year-round by Everett and Caroline Taylor and their three children, Luke, Victoria, and Dominique. In addition, the Inn employs a full time manager, chef, guide and housekeeping staff. The Ledges Inn was built in 1997 by Caroline and Everett who wanted to develop a unique outfitting business they could call their own. Everett, being a 6th generation guide, has been fishing and hunting all of his life and has an inherent and deep appreciation for the Miramichi River and its natural surroundings. For him, making guiding a family business was a natural step. Caroline’s love for cooking, for people and her enthusiasm for the outdoors, combined with Everett’s knowledge and skill of outfitting, made a perfect combination to establish a business that goes beyond the traditional hunting or fishing camp.
Derek Munn, head guide, joined The Ledges Inn in the spring of 2001. Born and raised on the Miramichi river, he has been an avid hunter and fisherman from a very young age. Derek has turned his love of the woods and water into a livelihood he thoroughly enjoys, by guiding professionally for the past 10 years. His other love, his family, consists of a very supportive wife and three four-legged "children", 2 of which are also avid hunters.
