The river is finally back to normal after the flood, it’s at a perfect level for our pools. The fishing has been good the last week we starting picking up a few fish fresh fish which is nice to see. For the most part we were catching a lot more grilse then salmon but yesterday we did land 2 hens over 20lbs. The fish are not showing much like they normally do in October for the most part you only see them when they come for the fly. With only two days left in the season we are ending on a high note.
Our hunters are finding great numbers of woodcock but grouse numbers seem to be down this year. The foliage is still pretty thick we need a big rain and wind storm to knock the leaves down. The best hunting is yet to come the last two weeks of October.
