Inn has, upon request in advance, a
registered massage therapist and an
esthetician available for your pampering.
- You may
choose to enjoy the beauty of the
Miramichi River by canoeing or kayaking
its relaxing waters. Full or half day
trips can be arranged.
- The Ledges
Inn is just adjacent to the NB Trail
which you can use for strolling, hiking,
biking or snowmobiling. The NB Trail,
formerly a railroad bed, winds along the
river providing stunning scenic views and
opportunity for wildlife viewing.

Within
the Doaktown area there are many cultural
attractions including the Atlantic Salmon
Museum, depicting the life cycle
of the Atlantic salmon and its importance to the
local culture; Central Woodsmen
Museum , illustrating the
history of lumbering in the Miramichi area; step
back history at the Doak Historic Site, and get a hands on view
of life with the first settlers of Doaktown. And
of course, there is the annual Salmon and
Fiddlehead Festival during the first week in
August.
- And don’t
forget to stop in at the world famous fly fishing
tackle shop, W.W. Doak. Doaktown is also home to
a 9-hole golf course, Old Mill Pond
Golf Club, just minutes from the
Inn. You may rent golf clubs at the shop or bring
your own. They also have a driving range.
